Almond Blossom in Mallorca

At the moment in Mallorca, the almond trees are at their most spectacular, with stunning white and pink blossom. The whole of Mallorca looks like it has had a fresh coat of fluffy snow.

This time last year we went as a group (our Winter Activities group, in fact) to Mallorca Fruits.

You know that there are seven million almond trees in Mallorca, right? Well, all those almond trees produce wonderful fruit, which has to be picked, packed, preserved and served at Mallorcan dining tables all over the island.

Mallorca Fruits is where they weigh, package and produce the almonds in Mallorca.

All the almonds used are from the Mallorcan countryside and the farmers bring their crop to weigh in and sell.

At Mallorca Fruits they package, sell and promote the almonds, plus they have their own almond orchards. And everyone knows that other than the almonds that are harvested and toasted by each household, the ones from Mallorca Fruits are the best.

But this post is about our wonderful almond blossom in Mallorca, because, as I said, it is that time of year. So, without further ado, here are my photos from the day that we went last year to Mallorca Fruits:
